How do I get a medication refill?

Please have your pharmacy call us for refills, if possible. Your pharmacist will contact us for authorization to refill your prescription. Please allow 24-48 hours for prescripiton refill requests to be completed.

Please try to call for refills on days other than Mondays, Fridays or weekends.

As a rule, prescriptions are only given after a thorough analysis of your problem. However, there are circumstances necessitating prescripitions without an office visit and we'll do our best to accommodate.  Usually this occurs when there is a need for a refill of a chronic medication or when circumstances prevent you from coming to the office.

Our policy is never to refill any narcotic or other habit forming drugs after hours. Refills of other drugs are also best done when we can have your chart in hand, so please avoid calling after hours for these medications, unless there is a truly urgent matter. If you need to have us call out a prescription, please have the exact name and dosage as well as the phone number of a pharmacy that is open.
