Your insurance will usually dictate which hospital you need to go to in case of either emergency or elective admission. When the decision has been made to admit you to a hospital, either by one of us or by another physician (emergency doctor or sub-specialist) we want to help with the coordination of that admission. However, since there are now eight hospital facilities in Wichita, most of us no longer make hospital rounds. Instead, we utilize the services of a "hospitalist", a hospital based specialist who handles details associated with your admission, oversees your progress, and communicates that progress with our office. Upon dismissal, you'll be returned to our care.
